Provides positron emission tomography with computed tomography imaging and nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice under the supervision of a radiologist.

Minimum Education
Graduate from a Nuclear Medicine program - Required. May be a graduate from a Radiologic Technology program with additional study in Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association training center is required within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire

Licenses:
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (NM) or certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Experienced Nuclear Medicine technologists who are PET and CT registry eligible are considered and must acquire valid registration within 12 months of hire date.
Minimum Work Experience
One as a Nuclear Medicine technologist; CT experience preferred with Nuclear Medicine - Required.
